What To Expect

Funtours Desert Safari Dubai

Der Ausflug beginnt mit einer Abholung an Ihrer Unterkunft in Dubai, wo Sie in die Wüsten am Rande der Stadt gefahren werden. Bei Ihrer Ankunft haben Sie die Wahl zwischen einem kurzen Kamelritt oder einer Henna-Tattoo-Sitzung. Andere optionale Aktivitäten sind verfügbar, wie Quadfahren (zusätzliche Kosten) und Fotografieren mit einem Falken (zusätzliche Kosten).

Wenn der Sonnenuntergang über den Dünen untergeht, bedienen Sie sich an einem köstlichen Grillbuffet zum Abendessen. Nach dem Abendessen können Sie arabischen Kaffee genießen und optional einen Zug an einer Shisha probieren. Erleben Sie schließlich klassische arabische Unterhaltung in Form von Bauchtanz und den sich schnell drehenden „Tanoura“-Shows, bevor Sie zu Ihrer Unterkunft in Dubai zurückkehren, wo Ihre Tour endet.

Evening in the Dubai desert

It’s a really nice thing to do if you’re staying in Dubai. We were picked up by the excellent Aftab who was prompt, courteous and, importantly, a very good driver!
The desert camp is open air and has a nice atmosphere. There are quite a few stall holders there who will try to sell you their stuff but it’s not too high pressure.
Had a VIP table which means proper chairs and waiter service for the BBQ food, which was generous and pretty good.
Overall a good experience.

Zain our driver was driving very safe and adventure through the sandboarding. Very cool expiriance. The car was very new, clean and had a good time. I recomend to do it!

Ehsan was our driver for a fantastic trip to the desert. Picked up as arranged from our Dubai hotel and since we opted to bypass the [big] dune bashing/the came ride, we were taken straight to where we could watch the sunset. What a beautiful sight that was watching the sun set before we got back into the 4x4 to head to the camp where the main event was taking place. Less beautiful was the 'tat' shops beside it although they at least had a toilet you could use!

Walking in the sand wasn't much fun and I am so glad we paid extra for the VIP service which meant proper seats and no having to queue for food/drink (along with more walking in the sand) as the food was brought to you. While it wasn't exactly food from the Ritz, it did fill you up.

There was 4 batches of "entertainment" - the first was a guy walking around with a pipe in the air... yes god knows why! Next was the flame thrower which was really spectacular and then another guy who totally mesmerised you especially when the flames started! Finishing off the night was the female dancer who certainly knew how to wiggle her body!

For me (not so my mates!) the best part was the mini dune bashing you had to get to/from the camp in the desert. 10 minutes of hilarity as you bounced around in the 4x4 going through the desert.

Ehsan our driver and guide was knowledgeable, polite and a very attentive driver. We had a good laugh both ways and a wonderful desert experience with a bit of dune bashing to suit our preference. Would highly recommend Ehsan to anyone coming to UAE.
