Aperçu
Sherpa Camp est basé dans une forêt d'arbres ghaf, au plus profond de la DDCR. Les aventuriers séjournent dans des endroits privés avec nos caravanes positionnées parmi les arbres et les dunes, mais avec un accès facile à nos toilettes et douches.
Chaque roulotte de camping est équipée d'une tente sur le toit, d'un canapé extérieur, d'un foyer, d'un réfrigérateur, d'un barbecue et plus encore !
Les invités sont transférés entre leur hôtel et le camp par un guide Sherpa et une fois qu'ils entrent dans la réserve, ils profitent d'une promenade sur notre piste hors route spécialement préparée pour camper. Nos guides offrent un aperçu unique de la flore et de la faune naturelles.
La nourriture et les boissons (selon le forfait choisi) seront incluses dans le réfrigérateur du camping des invités à l'arrivée, tandis que leur literie sera également prête dans leur tente.
Une promenade dans la nature en soirée est facultative, tandis que le matin du départ, les participants sont également invités à participer à une marche de faucon pour identifier les traces d'animaux apparues pendant la nuit. Chaque invité est invité à vivre le frisson de voler notre faucon.

Best camping experience ever! It's a superb feeling to be in such a vast and pristine part of the Dubai desert, with plenty of wildlife and vegetation almost untouched.
The camping facilities are superb, and the overall experience - we went as a group with other 10 families - was great.
I've totally surrended to the overall experience and will try to book it on every occasion when I have visitors from abroad.

An amazing trip that really makes you feel a million miles from the daily grind and the camp area is stunning. Even as a seasoned desert camper and vaguely experienced at desert driving, the trip is hugely informative, and our appreciation of the desert is much bigger still. The walkie talkies during the self-drive in are great as the team point out things you wouldn't normally notice and give general desert info and driving tips. If you don't have an appropriate off roader you can get to the camp with the Sand Sherpa vehicles. The trip is not about desert bashing, it's about respecting the desert, mastering desert driving and understanding conservation. The camp trailer is immensely comfortable and fun, we all had a great night's sleep and there's everything you need, even chairs table and a sofa! Just bring your bedding, food, drinks, (there's a fridge and drinking water in your trailer) and warm clothes if you go in January, it gets unbelievably cold at night! I gather you can now hire bedding and order food BBQ packages etc. if you really want to go all out and reduce the effort factor. We've noticed the facilities are always being improved, we've been about 3 times now and there's always some new investment in the site. A real toilet and hot showers during a desert camping trip are a revelation! Our daughter really loves this trip, it really captures her sense of adventure. There's a guided morning 'hawk walk,' guests get to fly the hawk and the evening scorpion hunt is particularly fascinating (and very safe!) The guys at Sand Sherpa really know their stuff and are experts in the flora and fauna of the desert. All in all, a great chilled out way to escape with friends sat round your private campfire with a glass of grape or hops knowing that your kids have got stuck into nature and thrashed around in the freedom of the desert.

Just the most magical, unforgettable experience for the whole family. The team are delightful & extremely knowledgeable and we saw all sorts of desert animals including the infamous scorpion. Book this, you won’t regret it.
Amazing Experience - Great Guides

My wife and I chose to do the self driving camping experience. You can either use sand sherpa's vehicles or if you have a 4x4 drive your own. We drove our own car but the guide take you through how to drive in the dunes and communicate through-out via walkie-talkie. It felt like a real adventure.
During the drive we got to see lots of the wildlife which was great to see in their natural habitats.
Once you're in the DDCR you really feel like you've left the hustle and bustle of Dubai (it's only a 35min drive from downtown Dubai).
The camp and facilities are also really good and fully equipped. All ready and set up when you arrive.
On the evening you can go on a scorpion walk with one of the guides. Michael (our guide) was extremely knowledgable and passionate about the local wildlife and conservation.
In the morning we also went on a tracking walk and Michael brought along his hawk. Again we all had a great time and learnt a lot.
In summary:
The drive, the desert, the camping, the wildlife, the guides are what make this an un-missable activity. We are looking forward to coming back or doing one of the other Sand Sherpa activities.

We had an amazing night at Sand Sherpa camp. It’s our second visit. We love the night walk/scorpion spotting and looking for animal tracks in the morning with Michael and Rex, his hawk. We got up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes as a herd of oryx passed by. Can’t wait to visit again.

If you’re looking for something different to do whilst in Dubai, don’t miss a camping experience with Sand Sherpa in the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve for a sustainable, well organized adventure with a knowledgeable guide (Mikhail) and excellent kit (tent and kitchen).

What an incredible, must do experience in Dubai. We just got back from a night at Sand Sherpa, 2 adults and 3 kids (7 months, 3 and 5). From the outset the team are incredibly professional, giving some great insights into flora and fauna and the history of the conservation area.
We drove our own 4x4 which is very highly recommended. A beautiful drive through the conservation area to the camp setup.
The camp setup is incredible, very private in amongst the dunes. The trailer was perfect and comfortable, the area set out with a sofa, dining table and chairs and a grill. All the food was provided as we’d bought the food package (really high quality) for dinner and breakfast.
Scorpion hunt in the evening was phenomenal and the kids were so engaged and loved finding out all about the scorpions. The next morning we had an hour or so with the Harris’s hawk and the kids got to hold him and do a few tricks. Activities were really really good.
We all absolutely loved this adventure. We’ve been in Dubai for 16 years, done a few of the naff desert safaris and this is the real deal.

Totally amazing and experience

A truely exceptional experience in a very special environment. From the time we were greeted by Michael and Josh at the gates until returning back the following morning (josh & Darren diving) we were immersed in the tranquility of this special place at one with nature.
The camps were very comfy, the girls enjoyed being up in the nest, while I was very cosy down below in the cabin.
Argentinian bbq was brilliant and together with all the equipment, including fridge and chilled water, we needed, we cooked a delicious bbq and enjoyed sitting round the fire afterwards.
The highlight for us was the scorpion walk in the wood. Sighted an incredible 70 scorpions! But the sunset from top of the dunes, the sunrise and learning to spot creatures footprints were memorable.
After a very good sleep in the quiet of the Reserve we had early, remarkable walk with Michael and spot all the trails and tried to identify which creature they belonged too.
Overall was a very special family Christmas treat which we will all remember and share (and hopefully repeat with other family members visiting to Dubai in the future).
The young guys who looked after us were knowledgeable in their craft and very engaging especially with our girls.
A marvellous time for all.

This trip was fun. We had an amazing adventure. The campsite was clean, and we appreciated the privacy. We had fun doing the activities like the scorpions night walk and the Hawk walk in the morning. The staff there was amazing. They were very friendly and helpful and very helpful. They had incredible knowledge about the the desert. The campsite was well equipped it. I would recommend it for a family with kids or if you want a couple retreats. I also would like to think the stuff for giving us an incredible and fun time.

From the moment we arrived to when we left, we were made to feel very welcome at Sand Sherpa. The camp was excellent, great facilities and the trailers are so well set-up. Our main guide, Michael, was very knowledgeable about the wildlife and local area and we loved the drive in with him and the other guide, pointing out all the wildlife. The night walk was also excellent, looking for tracks and wildlife that likes to come out at night. We also booked the bird experience which was so memorable. Again, Michael really impressed with his knowledge and how he handled the birds, and getting the chance to fly some of them was a real experience! I cannot recommend enough!

What a unique experience, excellent facilities and out guide Daz was very knowledgeable and you tell he loves his job. The camp is brilliant with roof nest tents, BBQ grill and hot and cold running water showers. We will be back thank you Sand Sherpa
